It can also be synchronized quite easily with other compatible LIGHTSYNC devices like Logitech keyboards. It’s fully controllable and customizable within the G HUB software. The G502 Hero’s aesthetics go beyond its sleek design, though, as the LIGHTSYNC RGB technology built-in elevates your mouse to go with the style of your whole rig. It’s a very interesting concept that Logitech managed to pull off nicely, mostly thanks to the G502 Hero’s smooth ergonomics. To that end, Logitech included 3.6g weights that go in the bottom of the mouse, which allows players to tune the weight distribution of their mouse as they desire. There’s a definite attempt in the G502 Hero’s design to shift a ton of control directly to the player. Logitech’s G HUB software is incredibly thorough for setting different values for the keys as well as macros, which can then be set easily for whatever game you’re playing. While some players prefer the minimalism of the standard three to five-button mouse, playing with a decent spread of possible macros and shortcuts at your fingertips, especially for MOBAs, cannot be beat. Whether you’re playing Dota 2 or League or Legends, the G502 Hero is one of the best mice for the job thanks to its eleven programmable buttons. The G502 Hero can excel at all kinds of gaming genres, but its best applications can be found deep within the trenches of the MOBAs. ![]() The 1ms report rate is also excellent to keep the delay at the very minimum for that extra precision at the most clutchest of moments. Starting at 200 for the lowest up to a maximum of 25600, the G502 Hero has something for everyone – whether you’re the twitchy type who can cover his entire mouse pad within the span of a second or whether you’re a conservative player who makes it seem like you’re barely moving your mouse at all. It is extremely well-tuned to suit a variety of different tastes and needs, and if you’re one of those PC gamers with weird offsets for their DPI settings, then the G502 Hero should always be at the top of your list. Precise to a TĪccuracy is the name of the game that the G502 Hero plays best, thanks to the precision Hero 25K sensor built specifically for it by the manufacturer. I can say with certainty that the G502 Hero is the best of its class at a decent price for what it has to offer, and it’s one of the best compared to mice in the similar cost range from other brands. I am very particular with their peripherals when it comes to gaming, but at a cost that’s still fairly reasonable I’ve used Razer mice (in particular, the Deathadder and the Basilisk v1) and the G102 before, which another of Logitech’s finest offerings at a lower price range. Logitech has always been at the heart of every discerning PC gamer’s set of peripherals, and for the most part, I’m no exception: the G502 Hero was my favorite mouse for the better part of the year, with the Kone Pro Air finally dethroning it just a week ago.
